Jennifer
Hammond studied theatre arts and voice at the California State University
at Northridge and the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco.
She has performed regionally in various musicals including the west coast
premieres of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Grand Night For
Singing", Cole Porter's "The New Yorkers",
and Stephen Schwartz's "Children of Eden". Jennifer counts among her professional achievements being lead singer with the Wayne Foster Orchestra, opening for such acts as Harry Connick Jr. and Andrea Bocelli at the Bellagio in Las Vegas; performing at the Flamingo Hilton, Las Vegas and at the "Toy Story II" wrap party in San Francisco. Jennifer has expanded her experience (and her horizons) by traveling the world as lead singer for Princess Cruise Lines, performing everything from Swing to Broadway, Rock 'n' Roll to Country and Classical. Performing to audiences in excess of 1,500 per night and 240,000 per year, Ms. Hammond has certainly learned how to handle a stage, a microphone and an audience, collecting numerous fans along the way. Jennifer has recently teamed up with BCTS Music Productions in Nashville and under the direction of songwriter Barry Crompton and producer Tim Smith (and some of Nashville's hottest session players) has cut the first five tracks of her debut CD, "Nothing To Be Sorry For". Says Jennifer, "It's finally good to be following my heart and performing music I have loved all my life. Everything I've done in the past has been great preparation for this moment". |
